Our
Mission Statement

At Bellafiore Landscape, Inc. we strive to provide our commercial and residential clients with an asthetically pleasing design, utilizing superior products through environmentally sound practices. We install and guarantee quality material with outstanding craftsmanship and value at reasonable prices. As we continue to grow and evolve as a business, we do not forget our humble beginnings.

Basic Plant Care & Essentials

Watering

1.  Simulate one inch of rain per week during dry weather. (Once a month during the winter if temperatures are above freezing.)

2.  Plants installed in spring and summer need to be well watered one time as soon as possible after planting.

3.  If foliage looks wilted, water immediately.

4.  Water in early morning, not in direct sunlight.

Fertilizing

1.  Fertilize with low nitrogen, slow release or tree spikes in fall (October through mid November). or spring (mid March through mid April).

2.  Fertilize recently transplanted plants with a foliar spray in the spring and summer (no later than August 1st).

Trimming

1.  Start trimming 3-5 years after installation.

2.  Trim trees and shrubs during dormancy (November through mid March).

3.  Up to 50% of trees may be trimmed during dormancy.

4.  Trim budded shrubs (Rhododendron, Azaleas, Hydrangeas, Forsythia, etc.) after they flower (May or July).

5.  While trimming in summer, limit trimming to new growth only (green wood).

6.  Topiaries should be trimmed 3-4 times per year.

Miscellaneous

1.  Do not remove string or burlap from root ball.  We only use natural products that will biodegrade over time.

2.  All evergreens defoliate (loose leaves) in the autumn.

3.  Mulch should be no more than 2-4" deep; no mulch should be high against trunks of trees or shurbs.
